Writing Good Project Proposals
Good project proposal writing is crucial to securing grant funding. Non-profit staff, board members, volunteers and students of philanthropy who want to generate funds simply must learn how to create effective, compelling and credible grant proposals.
We will show you how to do this. This interactive full-day seminar takes participants through the basics of project proposal writing.
We look at proposals with the eye of funders and discuss topics such as the essential components of a proposal package, tested techniques for writing proposals and fine tuning proposals to match grant makers interests. You certainly need to secure more grants from trusts and foundations.
Funding Sources Research
Searching for the right funders to support your project can be daunting, frustrating and time-consuming. We run a full-day course that helps to prepare participants for the world of grant seeking. This course is practical and interactive.
We will lead you to develop search skills and show you how to use the skills. The course examines all the major types of resources that can help you locate potential funders, identify grant makers that fund your type of projects and how to communicate with programme officers.
Developing a Fundraising Strategy
All organisations need clear visions on where to raise money from, for their programs. A fundraising strategy is a written document setting out major benchmarks on how your organisation plans to raise money for your projects.
It usually covers a period between 1 to 3 years. The "Developing a Fundraising Strategy" course takes participants through a planning process and come out with a clear set plan with objectives.
At the end of the day, participants will have developed an outline of their organisation's fundraising strategy which they will follow in the year.
Sustainable Fundraising
Many non-profit organisations are folding up because of their inability to raise enough funds for their needs and existence. This should not be so. The disadvantaged communities they serve suffer most.
This course shows participants tried and tested methods of raising money, other than grants from trusts and foundations.
